【摘要】:Thistestmethodmeasuresthehydrolyzablechlorinecontentofmonomeric,aromaticisocyanatesusedaspolyurethanerawmaterialsandexpressesitasHClacidity.Thetestmethodisapplicabletotoluenediisocyanate(TDI)andmonomericmethylene-bis-(4-phenylisocyanate),knownasMDI.Themainsourcesofhydrolyzablechlorineand,therefore,acidityinmonomericaromaticisocyanatesarecarbamylchlorides,acidchlorides,anddissolvedphosgene.Allofthesecompoundsreactwithalcoholsandwatertoformhydrochloricacid.ThistestmethodappliesonlytomonomericisocyanatesinwhichalloftheacidityisderivedfromspeciesthatgenerateHClonsolvolysis.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note1-ThereisnoequivalentISOstandard.
