【摘要】:1.1Thisclassificationsystemcoversnylonmaterialssuitableforinjectionmoldingandextrusion.Someofthesecompositionsarealsosuitableforcompressionmoldingandapplicationfromsolution.1.2Thepropertiesincludedinthisclassificationsystemarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.Theremaybeotherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplications.ThesemaybespecifiedbyusingthesuffixesasgiveninSection5.1.3Thisclassificationsystemandsubsequentlinecall-out(specification)areintendedtoprovideameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Itisnotintendedfortheselectionofmaterials.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,thecostsinvolved,andtheinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisclassificationsystem.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisclassificationsystem.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThisclassificationsystemissimilartoISO1874-1/-21993,althoughthetechnicalcontentissignificantlydifferent.Note28212;Thisclassificationsystemisbeingrevisedtoincludeinternational4-mmspecimensandtestproceduresasthestandardforcompliance.The3.2-mmspecimens;testmethods;andTablesPA,A,andBareincludedinAppendixX3asareferenceforthosewishingtousethem.Itisrecommendedthatthematerialmanufacturerbeconsultedonallcall-outsagainstthisclassificationsystem.
