【摘要】:Thepourpointofapetroleumproductisanindexofthelowesttemperatureofitsutilityforcertainapplications.Flowcharacteristics,suchaspourpoint,canbecriticalforthecorrectoperationoflubricatingsystems,fuelsystems,andpipelineoperations.Petroleumblendingoperationsrequireprecisemeasurementofthepourpoint.Thistestmethodcandeterminethetemperatureofthetestspecimenwitharesolutionof0.1x00B0;Catwhicheithercrystalshaveformedorviscosityincreasessufficientlytoimpedemovementofthepetroleumproduct.ThistestmethodyieldsapourpointinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97/IP15whenthe3x00B0;Cintervalresultsarereported.Note28212;SincesomeusersmaywishtoreporttheirresultsinaformatsimilartoTestMethodD97(in3x00B0;Cintervals)theprecisionswerederivedforthetemperaturesroundedtothe3x00B0;Cintervals.ForstatementsonbiasrelativetoTestMethodD97,see13.3.ThistestmethodhasbetterrepeatabilityandcomparablereproducibilityrelativetoTestMethodD97asmeasuredinthe1992interlaboratoryprogram.(SeeSection13.)1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofpourpointofpetroleumproductsbyanautomaticinstrumentthatcontinuouslyrotatesthetestspecimenagainstasuspendeddetectiondeviceduringcoolingofthetestspecimen.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtocovertherangeoftemperaturesfromx2212;57to+51x00B0;C;however,therangeoftemperaturesincludedinthe1992interlaboratoryprogramonlycoveredthetemperaturerangeofx2212;39to+6x00B0;C(see13.4).1.3Thistestmethoddeterminestheno-flowpointofpetroleumproductsbydetectionofthecrystalstructureorviscosityincrease,orboth,inthesamplethatissufficienttoimpedeflowofthespecimen.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedforusewithcrudeoils.Note18212;Theapplicabilityofthistestmethodonresidualfuelsampleshasnotbeenverified.Forfurtherinformationonapplicability,referto13.4.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
